Croydon Cat Club
As you will see from our advert in this issue, we have taken the Croydon Cat Club 2007 Show to a new venue, where there will be more space for more cats, and we will not have to return entries, as we did last year.

This year, a “Croydon Sweetheart” will be chosen from the “Valentines” and will receive a cash prize of £50, donated by R & L Pet Products AND a BIS Non Pedigree will receive a cash prize of £50 donated by MF Penning, and other goodies. Royal Canin is also generously providing its vouchers to the Best of Varieties. We are most grateful to all our sponsors.

Schedules have been sent to paid-up Members. Non-members, please send a large SAE to me, Pat Norman, 90 Foresters Drive, Wallington, Surrey SM6 9JZ or download one from the website - www.croydoncatclub.co.uk

Please enter as soon as possible and note that Entries Close 7th January 2007, or before if the hall is full.

We are again choosing the Best Imperial Certificate winner AND a Best Merit Certificate winner - so come and join in the fun on 10 February 2007.

NB: If you wish to enter the show as a Member, please pay your subs with your entry - if you wish to join the Club and enter as a Member, just complete the application form in the Schedule and send it with the subs and your entry form.

The Capital Long Hair Cat Association

At our show, to be held at the Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre on 6 January 2007, we will be holding the usual raffle. We would be pleased if those attending would not only participate but perhaps bring along (say) an unwanted Christmas gift to help swell the number of prizes on offer.

Longhair Cream & Blue-Cream Cat Association

Incorporating Chocolate & Lilac
Our annual show is to be held on Saturday, 3 March 2007 at Lodden Hall Community Centre, Twyford, Berks.

For the first time, we will be including colours from the Chocolate and Lilac Series (50b, 50c, 11b and 11c).

The Colourpoint Society of Great Britain

Attention all small cat clubs - do you need to cut back on the expense of running your annual show? Would you be interested in sharing a venue and saving money?

The Colourpoint Society of Great Britain hold their annual show on the first Saturday in November. Our venue is Therfield School, Dilston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, just off junction 9 of the M25.

We are joined every year by the Colourpointed British Shorthair Cat Club, but there is room for one more small club to join us with up to 40 cats.

The Old-style Siamese Club

The AGM of the Old-style Siamese Club will be held on Sunday, 1 April 2006 at Grafham Village Hall, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Nominations for the Committee and items for the Agenda should be received by the Hon Secretary at 1 Grafham Road, Ellington, Huntingdon, Cambs PE28 0AN by 30 January 2007. Nominations for the Committee should be received by 30 January 2007; the Nominee, the Proposer and Seconder must sign them. Nominees must have been a Member of the Old-style Siamese Club for 12 months. Only fully paid-up Members may attend.

The Scottish Cat Club

We are pleased to say that Schedules for the Scottish Cat Club’s Golden Jubilee Show - our 50th consecutive Championship Show - on 10 February 2007, are now available. Schedules will be sent to last year’s exhibitors and are also available online at www.scottish catclub.co.uk. They will also be available at the West of Scotland CC Show on 16 December. Anyone else wanting a schedule, please send a large SAE to either Pamela Read at 80 Garthland Drive, Glasgow G31 2RB or Margaret Webster at 115 Eskhill, Penicuik EH26 8DE.

Due to the intervening festive season (and to allow us all to recover from our New Year celebrations!) we have set a late closing date for the show of Monday, 8 January (postmark). As a result, we cannot accept any late entries, so please return your entries promptly to avoid disappointment.

We will be celebrating our Golden Jubilee in style with special classes and special prizes, and look forward to seeing you in February.
