Ride the rapids or take to the sky for animal charity

THE Blue Cross is calling on dare devil animal lovers to sign up for an exhilarating parachute jump or a challenging white water raft to raise money for the animals in its care.

People that rise to the parachute challenge can choose between an exhilarating tandem skydive, where they will freefall through the air for several thousand feet harnessed to a professional parachute instructor, or go it alone on a ‘static line’, which means that the parachute is opened by a line attached to the aircraft.

Water babes can learn how to race the rapids on one of the UK’s most exciting rivers for free - all participants need to do is get together a team of six to eight like-minded friends, relatives or colleagues and raise just a small amount of sponsorship money for The Blue Cross.
Heather Collin, events

co-ordinator at The Blue Cross, said: “As a charity we are dependent on the support given to us by our supporters and dare devil volunteers. This is a unique opportunity to do something remarkable while raising money for a good cause”.
