I WAS pleased to receive a letter from Liz Stables telling me of her show successes.
Her Lilac Point Birman, Rivanna Cloudshadow, was awarded his fourth Best of Breed at the London Show. Chocolate Tabby Point Birman, Gr Ch Rivanna Chiffon, won the Imperial Grand and the Grand CC and was awarded Semi Longhair Best of Variety, also at the London Show.

I was shocked to read in the Eastern Daily Press of the death of Mrs Del Anderson. Del was a well known breeder of Ragdolls under the prefix of Purrfurus. She imported several Ragdolls over the years. Present (and future) breeders will surely benefit from Del’s devotion to the breed over many years. Del was a member of the Eastern Counties Cat Society. She always entered at least three cats at our show and had a stall for the Ragdoll Club.

She will be sorely missed this year. I do not know any more details, but I believe it was sudden and unexpected.
