6. AMENDMENTS TO GCCF RULES
a) Section 2, Rule 17e., Section 3, Rule 8d
The Open class judge must not withhold Best of Breed if any certificate has been awarded by him/her to a cat if the breed on the day.
Amend to
The Open class judge must not withhold Best of Breed if, on that day, he/she has awarded any certificate to a cat considered for that Best of Breed.
b) Section 2, Rule 17c., Section 3, Rule 8c
Cats to be considered for Best of Breed shall be the winners of the Open classes for that breed and cats of that breed that were entered in the Imperial Grand Champion/Grand Champion/Imperial Grand Premier/Grand Premier classes and not in the open class.
Amend to
Cats to be considered for Best of Breed shall be the winners of the Open classes for that breed and cats of that breed that are entered in the Imperial Grand Champion/Grand Champion/Imperial Grand Premier/Grand Premier classes and not in the open class, with the exception of cats withdrawn, by their exhibitor(s), from such consideration.
c) Add Section 2, Rule 3g
The temperature within the show hall should not exceed 90 degrees F (32 degrees C). At Summer shows the show management should consider planning wider aisles and discuss with the venue manager and safety officers the possibility of netting or screening doors to permit safe additional ventilation. Exhibitors should be permitted to use cold packs under their cats' blankets and/or safe battery-operated fans on their pens. Exhibitors and visitors should be requested not to crowd the pens and, in severe heat, may be requested to leave the hall for a period to allow the temperature to drop.
d) Section 1, Rule 7b
Names must differ by at least 'one letter/two letters' from the name of any other cat registered with the GCCF. The following will not be accepted as a name or part of a name:
Numbers in figures (roman or Arabic).
Recognised feline titles (Champion, Premier, Supreme, International, Imperial, etc.) Cedillas, accents, etc.
Repetition of words previously registered by the same person or under the same prefix except recognised appropriate breed colour/pattern/coat description words in English, the definite and indefinite articles (the, a, an) or recognised human titles (Mr, Mister, Mrs, Miss, King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Lord, Lady, Sir, Dame).
NB: Applicants should ensure that they do not submit a business or trade name which might lead to legal action by the registered owner of that name.
Applicants should ensure, to the best of their knowledge, that they do not submit a word which has been registered as a prefix with another cat registering organisation by another person. The applicant shall be held responsible for any action arising fro the registration of a name.
8. AMENDMENTS TO THE GCCF CONSTITUTION
Executive Committee does not recommend the following:
11(1) (a) Proposed amendment
Colourpoint Rex coated and AOV Cat Club propose
"that delegates elected to the GCCF Executive Committee are only allowed to remain on the Executive for a maximum of three consecutive years, and then must stand down for at least one year before becoming eligible for election again."
10. BREED PROMOTIONS
The Executive Committee proposes the following with effect from 1st June 2007.
a) Siamese JAC - application for promotion to Championship status for Caramel Pointed Siamese.
b) Oriental Self BAC - application for promotion to Championship status for Oriental Fawn (37r).
c) Egyptian Mau / BAC - application for promotion to Championship status for Egyptian Mau.
d) Selkirk Rex / Joint Rex BAC - application for promotion to Provisional status.
e) British Shorthair Group Committee - application for promotion to Provisional status for the Cinnamon and Fawn Self and Colourpointed British Shorthairs
f) Bengal BAC - application for promotion to Provisional status for the Snow Marbled Bengals.
11. STANDARDS OF POINTS
Executive Committee recommends the following with effect from 1 June 2007.
a) Siamese JAC - amendment to SOP for Chocolate Pointed Siamese (24b)
"The ears should not be darker than the other points" to be replaced by "The ears should not be darker than the mask".
b) Siamese JAC - amendment to SOP for Caramel Point (24n), Caramel Tabby Point (32/8), Caramel Tortie Tabby Point (32t8) and Caramel Tortie Point (32b8).
Nose leather, eye rims and paw pads brownish purple (in blue based) or pinkish grey (in lilac/fawn based) (enclosed).
c) Bengal BAC - revised SOP for the Brown (Black) Spotted Bengal (Championship) (76 30), Brown (Black) Marbled Bengal (Provisional) (76 20), AOC-Eyed Snow Spotted Bengal (Provisional) (76a 30), AOC-Eyed Snow Marbled Bengal (Proposed Provisional) (76a 20), Blue-Eyed Snow spotted Bengal (Provisional) (76b 30), Blue-Eyed Snow Marbled Bengal (Proposed Provisional) (76b 20) (enclosed).

Self Longhair BAC have requested that the name of Mrs M. Riley be removed from their list of judges as they have had no response from Mrs Riley to their requests for confirmation that she wishes to continue as a Probationer judge on their list.
The Birman BAC have received the resignation of Mrs V. Lee from the Judging Scheme. The BAC have reluctantly accepted Mrs Lee's resignation.
Mrs W. McQuilkin has returned to the Full list of Birman Judges.
