The Colourpoint Society of Great Britain
The Society’s AGM takes place on Sunday, 15 April, 2007, commencing at 2.30pm. The venue is 90 Levett Road, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7EH. Please notify the Secretary if you wish to attend.
An election of Officers for the posts of Chairman and Secretary will take place at the AGM. Please be advised that nominations for these posts must be in writing to the Secretary as soon as possible.

Celtic Longhair & Semi Longhair Cat Society
Our AGM will be held at Chepstow Leisure Centre on Sunday, 15 April, 2007, at 2.30pm. Papers will be sent out shortly.

Semi Long Hair Cat Association

The AGM will be held on Sunday, 6 May, 2007, at the Oliver Bird Memorial Hall, Church Hill Road, Solihull. Agenda and minutes will be sent out mid-March. Any items that a Member wishes to add to the agenda must reach the Hon Secretary by 1 April, 2007. As last year, the AGM will be followed by a presentation of the Association’s Annual Points Competition Trophies and then light refreshments will be served. Items for the raffle would be gratefully received.

We have five vacancies on the Committee, as five Members have served their three year term. These are Shirley Talboys, Charles Eveniss, Mary-Rose Douglas, Anne Waite and Mary Cockcroft. All five are willing to stand again for re-election. Please submit nominations for these five posts, proposed and seconded by Association Members, to the Secretary by 1 April, 2007.

Trophies for the Annual Club Points Competition should be returned to our Points Trophy Manager, Amanda Symonds, 12 Coton Road, Churchover, Warks CV23 0EL, or returned before the AGM. May we also remind you that the Show Trophies need to be returned to our Show Trophy Manager, Anne Waite, 39 Fernbank Drive, Leeds LS13 1BZ, before the show on Saturday, 21 April, 2007. Trophies may be handed to any Member of our Committee at shows. There will be a chocolate tombola at the show, and items of chocolate will be gratefully received.

Membership renewals should be sent to the Membership Secretary, Gordon Stables, 31 Scotch Firs, Fownhope, Hereford HR1 4NP. The subscription renewal notice is in the SLHCA magazine, and for new Members, an application form may be obtained through the website - www.semilonghaircats.co.uk. Please note that the subscriptions remain at £7 for single and £10 joint.

The Breeders’ List runs annually from 1 January, and the fee remains at £5 for the year, which may be included with membership subscriptions and sent to Charles Eveniss, or direct to the Breeders’ List Co-ordinator, Fiona Hermon, 43 Staplehall Road, Fenny Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK1 1BQ, until the AGM. Any amendments to this list should be detailed on the form provided in the magazine. New Members wishing to be included on the Breeders’ List need to have a prefix or have been a Member for one year. Maidstone & Medway Cat Club

The AGM will be held on Sunday, 6 May, 2007, at 2pm, at the Hempstead Village Hall, Hempstead Road, Gillingham, Kent.

Mrs Hatley and Mrs Gregory are due to stand down from the Committee but are willing to re-stand; Mr Stenning, Mr & Mrs Goodfellow, Mr Porter and Mrs Bubb-Porter have resigned from the Committee and so nominations for Committee vacancies are welcome. Prospective Committee Members should be Members of the Club and need to be proposed for membership. We have received four nominations to date.

After the AGM there will be an informal talk and question/answer session given by the well-known Cat Behaviour Counsellor and best selling author, Vicky Halls VN. This event will be free of charge to our Members, but non-members may attend Vicky’s talk for £5 (including tea). Tickets must be purchased in advance from the Hon Secretary at 52 Hempstead Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 3RF. Please make cheques payable to the Maidstone & Medway Cat Club and please enclose an SAE for your ticket.

Siamese Cat Society of Scotland

In the recent Agenda sent out for the AGM of the Society to be held in the Glanfarg Hotel, Glenfarg on Sunday, 22 April, 2007, there was an omission.

Under Elections there should be an item to ratify the co-option of Mrs Maureen Robb to the Committee. The Acting Chairman and the Committee look forward to seeing many Members of the Society, both at the meeting and at the Seminar by Dr Bruce Bennett, starting at 11.30am prior to the meeting at 2pm.

Somerset Cat Club

We would like to apologise to all Sphynx exhibitors for unfortunately omitting their classes from our schedule.

The Assessment Classes for your Sphynx are as follows: AC Sphynx Adult - 314a. AC Sphynx Kitten - 341a. AC Sphynx Neuter - 374a. All three classes are being judged by Mrs M. Smith. The Sphynx are included in Breeders/Non Breeders Classes as follows: 606 and 607, 644 and 645, 675 and 676.

Wessex Cat Club

The AGM will be held on Sunday, 15 April, 2007, at the Greyfriars Community Centre, Christchurch Road, Ringwood, Hants, starting at 2.30pm.

Following the meeting, there will be the usual excellent refreshments and cat chat, and also a raffle for which contributions will be gratefully received. We look forward to seeing as many Members as possible at this Club event.

Shorthair Cat Club of Scotland

The AGM of the Shorthair Cat Club of Scotland will be held on Sunday, 6 May, 2007, at 2.30pm, at the Lomond Centre, Glenrothes, Fife.

An invitation to attend is extended to all Honorary, Life and Ordinary Members who have paid 2006 subscriptions, which were due on 1 January, 2006.

Tea and coffee will be served at the end of the meeting and there will be a raffle in aid of Club funds.

Central Longhaired Cat Club

The AGM of the Central Longhaired Cat Club will be held at 3pm on Sunday, 29 April, 2007, at Bournheath Village Hall, Claypit Lane, Bournheath, nr Bromsgrove, and all fully paid-up Members are invited to attend.

Bombay & Asian Self Breed Club

We will be holding our third Sanction Show on 23 June, 2007, in conjunction with the Burmese Cat Club, at the Bletchley Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes.

Mrs Gamble has had to withdraw from judging at the Bedford & District CC show this year, and the Club hopes that she makes a speedy recovery. We have re-allocated her classes as follows:

British Shorthair Group Committee Seminar
The BAC will be holding a Seminar on Sunday, 6 May, 2007 at the Studio, The Greig Centre, Alcester. The afternoon session (1.30pm to 4.30pm) is open to all who are interested in BSHs (space permitting). Breeds to be discussed this year are Patched, Tipped and Tabby Colourpointed BSHs and Manx cats.

Tickets cost £6, which should be obtained from me at Highridge, Parsonage Hill, Somerton, Somerset TA11 7PF, as soon as possible. (Cheques made payable to BSGC please).

Short-Haired Cat Society
Our AGM will be held on Sunday, 29 April, 2007 at the Oliver Bird Hall, Solihull at 2pm. Agendas and paperwork will be sent to Members in mid-April. Light refreshments will be available for those arriving between 1 and 2pm.

We hope those who were able to join us at our show in January had an enjoyable day. If you are a Member and entered a cat, you will have already paid your subs for 2007.

Other Members who have not yet sent them are reminded that subscriptions for 2007 became due by 31 March. The rates are - £6 Single, £9 Joint, £3 Senior or Junior Citizen and £4.50 Joint Senior Citizen, and should be sent to the Hon Treasurer, Mrs Caroline Wren, Primrose Cottage, Leywood Road, Meopham, Kent DA13 0UH.

We have room for one or two volunteers on the Committee.
