SUPREME CAT SHOW 2007
The 2007 Supreme Cat Show will now be held on SATURDAY, 17th NOVEMBER 2007 in Halls 17, 18 and 19 of the NEC.
As all exhibitors at the 2006 Supreme Show know, there were severe problems when arriving at, and departing from the show hall.
Although the NEC were well aware of our requirements, they had not taken into consideration the sheer number of people, with cats and equipment, arriving and departing at the same time. Although the NEC staff sorted out various problems as soon as they were made aware of them, the situation remained very far from satisfactory, to put it mildly. Part of the problem was that we had been allocated halls in the older part of the complex, the Piazza access to which is more congested than the Atrium access to the new halls. An additional problem was caused by the number of events being held simultaneously, including the BBC Good Food Show, which attracts a large number of visitors.
The only halls the NEC had been able to offer us for 24th November 2007 were, again, Halls 3a and 4. At the time when we made the booking, they were unable to offer us other halls on any other suitable date.
After lengthy discussions the NEC have made some rearrangements and were able to offer us Halls 17-19 (the halls used in 2005) on 17th November 2007 - a date on which we will no longer clash with the BBC Good Food Show.
After weighing up the advantages of the much easier arrival, parking and departure for exhibitors, trade exhibitors and visitors against the disadvantages caused by a change of date, we decided to accept their offer.
We apologise most sincerely to the four shows which were licensed for 10th November and to anyone else for whom this date change is inconvenient.
Julia May, Supreme Show Manager
