ROCK SENSATION and animal-lover Pink will be supporting Party for Animals Worldwide (PAW) by holding a concert on Tuesday, 21 August 2007, at Cardiff International Arena. The event will raise vital funds for six animal charities, including leading veterinary charity PDSA.
PAW is a not for profit organisation created to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare and conservation projects worldwide through an annual Party for Animals Worldwide music event.
Tickets for the concert are on sale now and can be booked by calling the venue credit card hotline number 029 20 22 44 88 - Pink fans are advised to book early to avoid disappointment!
Pink said: ‘I am very happy giving my time to this very worthwhile cause. I am passionate about animal conservation across the world and through my involvement with PAW I believe we can greatly help raise awareness and funds for animal conservation and welfare charities worldwide.’
This year leading veterinary charity, PDSA, will provide more than 1.8 million free treatments to sick and injured pets, through its network of 47 PetAid hospitals and 345 PetAid practices. The charity receives no government or lottery funding for its PetAid services. It relies entirely on the generosity of the public. So by attending the concert - as well as having lots of fun - you’ll be helping pets in need of vets!
PDSA National Fundraising Manager, Simi Epstein, says: ‘PDSA is delighted to be involved in this fantastic event, and we hope that lots of Pink fans and animal-lovers will get involved and support PAW’s first ever music concert.
‘We are expecting tickets to be snapped up early, so book yours early to avoid missing out on the pop party of the year!’
The other charities that will benefit include SPANA, Marine Conservation Society, Born Free Foundation, The Monkey Sanctuary Trust and Animals Asia Foundation.
2007 marks the 90th Anniversary of PDSA. Founded in 1917 by animal welfare pioneer, Maria Dickin CBE, PDSA is the UK’s leading veterinary charity. For more information about PDSA, please visit www.pdsa.org.uk.
