New Communications Manager joins Trust
Alexandra Baker has recently taken up the post of Communications Manager at the Pet Care Trust.
Alexandra’s main role will be managing external communications, including press relations and the website, and working with the Marketing & Membership Manager on membership communications.
Her focus over the coming months will be on promoting the British Dog Grooming Championships on 21 October, and the Pet Care Forum in April 2008, as well as overseeing the creation of a new look website.
Before joining the Trust, Alexandra spent over three years in press and PR for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), as well as a year running campaigns in an urban regeneration charity.
Alexandra said: “I am delighted have joined such a dynamic organisation whose aims and ethos I really admire. With the implementation of the new Animal Welfare Act, the pet care sector is entering a new and interesting phase, and the Pet Care Trust is at the forefront of this. I am looking forward to being at the Trust during this exciting period”.
Janet Nunn, Chief Executive of the Pet Care Trust said: “Alexandra’s background, not only in PR but also in sector-related knowledge that she gained at the RCVS, will really stand her in good stead here at the Trust. These are fascinating times in the pet care sector, so we are really pleased to welcome Alexandra to the team at this time”.
Alexandra, who will be at the Trust three days a week, lives in Bedford and has three young children. She also enjoys cooking and reading.
