Beards for Battersea
Are you fed up with shaving? Always wondered what a beard would look like but been too scared of what your partner would say? Then why not grow a beard for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and help raise as much money as possible for the lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats of London.
Brian Blessed, renowned actor and beard aficionado, has already pledged his support and will be judging the best beard grown in six weeks.
The hirsute winner will be able to enjoy a complimentary luxury traditional wet shave from Truefitt and Hill of St James’, the oldest barbershop in the world and holders of a Royal Warrant. They are also offering a ten per cent discount on all products and services for all participants until the end of the year.
This fundraising event runs from the 1st September to the 12th October 2007 and we’re currently looking for volunteers to take up the challenge. But let’s face it lads, as challenges go, it’s pretty easy as it requires very little effort.
Members of staff are already on board but with the public behind us too, we can raise much more for essential equipment (such as beds and toys) for our needy dogs and cats. And you never know you might find a beard is what your face has been missing all these years.
