Shropshire BIS list and gremlins!
The reprinted BIS list from this year’s Shropshire Cat Club Show was blighted by Gremlins, from leaving us here and arriving at the printers! Quite how this is possible is a mystery as the pages are sent via the telephone line, the ISDN. See below for the (hopefully) corrected listing.
Judges’ reports
Please may I ask exhibitors to be patient whilst awaiting their judges’ reports? These may be delayed for a variety of reasons. The majority (95%) are published approximately 6-8 weeks after a show. If you are looking for a report, please contact the office (preferably by e-mail) and I will be able to tell you if we have received the report.

BBC-2 wants you!
Have you got an overweight cat? Do you like your cat a little on the curvy side or are you keen for your cat to shed a few of those extra pounds? Or is the problem the other way round - is your pet picky about their food or even refusing to eat at all? Either way the BBC-2 team would like to hear from you. The photograph on the right was incorrectly captioned in the recent Coventry & Leicester feature. The caption should have read, Steve Musson’s Ch & Pr Shimileeta Starinmyeyes. Having three photographers at this show, caused this error to ‘slip the net’ – sorry Steve!
Breed features
We hope that our readers enjoyed the superb Persian Tabby feature, published in the last issue of OUR CATS. It was a fascinating insight to the Brown, Reds and AOC Tabby Persians. There was one small error, Ch Rejuta Edwardian Dandy was owned and bred by Mr Quick, and not Joan Hammet, as stated. Our grateful thanks to Rita for a splendid read.

First things first
Is there a list of what a Show Manager needs to take to a show? At a recent show, there was no First Aid Kit available, to treat an exhibitor who had been bitten. The vets could not help, nor could the staff of the venue, a leisure centre!
The casualty was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but surely a First Aid Kit is one of the ‘essentials’? What about our own cats? Do exhibitors carry a First Aid Kit for their cats, in case of an accident whilst travelling? Please let me know if you adhere to the Girl Guides’ motto - ‘be prepared’.
