Chocolate Series Cat Club
The Chocolate Series Cat Club will be holding its AGM on 24 April 2005 at the Wythall Village Hall, Alchester Road, Wythall, Nr Birmingham, commencing at 2pm. This will be an important meeting with regard to the future of the Club, so would Members please make an effort to attend.

Agendas and the minutes have been sent to last year’s Members, anyone who has not received theirs, please let me know asap.

Will Members please also note that subscriptions became due on 1 January 2005, and if they are not paid by the date of the AGM they will cease to be Members. Subscriptions are to be sent to the Club’s Treasurer, Mrs J. Maybank, 94 Blacklands, East Malling, Maidstone, Kent ME19 6DS. Rates are £5 single and £8 joint membership.

Lakeland & District Cat Club
Free Schedules - The Lakeland & District Cat Club is trying to be more environmentally friendly. Have you access to the web? Do you have e-mail? The Club has this year’s Schedule and entry form on their web page - www.lakeland-districtcatclub.com
The Schedule is in PDF format which can be run on Adobe reader. If you do not have Adobe you can link to a free download from the show page.

The cat show is to be held on 18 June, and the closing date is 10 May. The show is at Kendal Leisure Centre, Cumbria.

Please note, we cannot accept entries online at the moment, so you will have to use snail mail. We recommend you send a SAE with your entry for the show.

We are offering £100 prize for BIS Pedigree and £50 BIS HP. We are offering the new classes for the Imperials and Kittens are now accepted at 14 weeks.

Entry Fee - Increases have been put on hold.

Stall Hire - Last year’s stallholders have been given privileged right until 1 April. We have space available to people interested in renting space. The space left is limited, any enquiries must be to Mr Irving on 01229 432187.

Club News - The Club is trying to become more environmentally friendly. One of the proposals is to send the Club’s magazine out to its Members by e-mail. Any Members interested in this service, please contact our Secretary at shemac@ btinternet.com with your details.

Edinburgh & East of Scotland Cat Club

We now have a website, which can be accessed via www.edinburgh-cats.co.uk
Information is available there on Show 2004 with a report, results and photographs. There is also advice on how to get the Schedule for Show 2005. Denise Lindsay, who devised it, assures me that she will regularly update it.

At the AGM held on Sunday, 3 April at Edinburgh University, the Committee remained unchanged as the retiring Members were re-elected.

Somerset Cat Club
The AGM was held on Sunday, 20 March at West Monkton Village Hall.

The AGM was well attended, as usual there was a plentiful supply of cakes and sandwiches co- ordinated by Sylvia Rose and a successful raffle drawn. A big thank you to all Members who donated either food or prizes.


Our Annual Championship Show will be held on Saturday, 4 June at Thornbury Leisure Centre. Schedules are available by sending a large (A4) SAE to Elaine Robinson, 5 Liskeard Way, Freshbrook, Swindon, Wiltshire SN5 8NF. Tel. 01793 484004.

Midshires Siamese Cat Association

Birman Cat Club

Birman BAC

Details of the next Birman Seminar are as follows: It will be held on Sunday, 3 July 2005 at Wheathampstead Village Hall, Wheathampstead, Herts with vetting-in at 12 noon and start time 12.30pm. Topics are: ‘What is a Massive Birman’, ‘When is a Tabby a Tabby’, ‘Do’s & Don’ts of Stewarding/Handling’. Tickets (£8.00) will be available from Jane Tackley. The Tonkinese BAC

The TBAC proposes that all kittens born of back-cross matings after 31 December 2006 (or earlier if agreed), and their descendants, shall be registered on the Reference Register.

The TBAC is holding an Open Meeting to discuss the proposal. Members of the Tonkinese Breed Club and Tonkinese Cat Club have been informed. The meeting will be held on Sunday, 15 May from 12.30pm at St Mary’s Church Hall, Winnersh, Berkshire. Exotic BAC
The Exotic BAC’s Seminar will be held on Sunday, 12 June 2005, at Mappleborough Green Village Hall.

The Seminar will commence with lunch at 12 noon, and there will be a talk by Rosemary Fisher on “Tabbies”, with discussion of the new colours which will shortly be gaining Championship Status (Silver Tabby & White).

The cost is £7 per person (cheques payable to Exotic Shorthaire Breed Advisory Committee) - please apply with SAE to me at The Old Post Office, Cottam, Retford, Notts DN22 0EZ. Anyone wishing to bring cats should also inform me of the details.
