State Pet Protect leads the field with new policy enhancements
FROM 1 December 2005, Pet Protect have increased benefit levels on its Lifelong Extra policies.
The changes include trebling death by accident or illness benefits for cats (and doubling the same benefits for dogs). Cattery fees and daily minding rates are also enhanced and some further policy improvements have been included.
More customers will be able to claim the costs of arranging care for their pet while they are in hospital.
Small animals are not forgotten. Pet Protect will now pay 50% of clinical diet foods for rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas. All the changes were put into effect on 1 December and will be available to both new and existing customers.
Bruce MacLellan, Business Development Manager of Pet Protect explains the reason behind the enhancements.
“We listened to our customers’ concerns about their pets in the event of an emergency, such as when they are going into hospital. At such a time it is important for people to know that their pet is being cared for and that they can afford to pay for that care. This is all part of our ongoing improvement to our policies”.
