South-West British Cat Club
An exciting New Club has been formed for all those with a special interest in British cats.
This Club will be of particular interest to all those who live within the South-West peninsula (although it will be open to all lovers of British cats, regardless of address).

An intrepid group of enthusiasts braved the ice and snow recently for our Inaugural Meeting, held in Exeter.

We have applied for pre-affiliation to the GCCF, and it is hoped that in due course, we will be able to stage our own breed show. We are intending to plan a range of interesting activities and meetings to enable Members to get together regularly.

If you are interested in becoming a Member, please contact Mrs Eve Woolvett, Membership Secretary, Beechfield, Binneford, Yeoford, Crediton, Devon EX17 5EZ. Email e.woolvett@btopenworld. com or telephone 0164 724561.
Membership fees are: Single £5, Joint £7 and Junior (under 18 years) £3.

The Birman Cat Club

The Winter Edition of the Club Magazine is currently at the printers, and will be dispatched in time for Christmas. Janet and Heather promise us plenty of stimulating reading whilst we enjoy the umpteenth mince pie and glass of mulled wine.
The Officers and Committee would like to wish all Members, their families and lovely felines a most Happy and Peaceful Christmas with good health and good fortune throughout the New Year.
Last but not least, a heartfelt thank you to all those unsung heroes who have, during the year, given so much of their time, energy and generosity supporting the Club, together with the Birman Rescue. Your magnificent efforts are truly appreciated. Elaine Culf, Secretary

Would Members please note that as from 1 January 2006, membership fees have been increased by £1, making the single subscription £5 and the joint £8. Joining fee remains the same at £1.

This is the first time subscriptions have been increased for a very long time, and I’m sure you will agree that our colour magazine and beautiful banners you receive if your cats obtain titles make it worthwhile continuing your membership.

Please send your renewals or new memberships to me at 72 Kimberley Gardens, Harringay N4 1LE as soon as possible.

The Officers and Committee wish their Members a Very Happy Festive Season and Successful New Year, looking forward to seeing you and your lovely cats at our show on 11 February.

Season’s Greetings
WE would like to wish our many friends a Very Happy Christmas and a Successful New Year.

We have decided again this year that we will not send Christmas cards to all our friends, but will be making a donation to CLAWS, a local cat charity who regularly attend The Longhair Cream & Blue-Cream Cat Association show to raise funds for needy felines.

See you all in the New Year.
