Oriental Bicolour Group
Would all interested parties please note that the Seminar on 8 January 2006 will now start at 11am and NOT 1pm as previously advised.
This means that we can have an earlier finish time and make the journey home rather easier.
Sarah Johnson, Hon Secretary
Northern Ireland Cat Club
Saturday, 4 March is the date for this year’s Championship Show, promoted by the Northern Ireland Cat Club. This year’s venue is the spacious Sports Hall at the North-East Institute Campus in Antrim.
This venue is on the main street of the town adjacent to the shops, cafes and shopping centre. There are top class judges in every breed and, as usual, there is a non pedigree section with attractive prizes to be won.
Schedules have been posted to all Members and last year’s exhibitors, and anyone else who would like a schedule should contact the Show Manager, Pat Hartin, at 37 Kilraughts Road, Ballymoney, Co Antrim BT53 7HL. The telephone number is 028 276 66603.
The town of Antrim is beside the international airport, half an hour’s travelling time from both Belfast and the port of Larne. For many years this event has been popular with cross-channel exhibitors as well as those from the Irish Republic. During the past two years there has been a resurgence in the cat hobby in the North of Ireland and a steady increase in entries has been noted after a few lean years. Pat Hartin, Show Manager
Croydon Cat Club
Will exhibitors kindly note that Mrs Higgins is unable to judge the British Imperial Grand Adult Class at the Croydon CC Show. This Class will not be judged by Mr Neil Carter.
We apologise for this late change, which has occurred due to unforeseen circumstances.
We hope that all Members have a Very Happy and Peaceful 2006 and look forward to seeing you at the show.
Pat Norman, Show Manager
Boarding Cattery of the Year
MAY we, through the auspices of the Journal, express our sincere thanks to Claire Bessant and Gill Waldron of the Feline Advisory Bureau for organising this year’s competition and the presentation of the award at the Supreme Show.
We are also indebted to Julia May agreeing to the awards taking place within the show, the Supreme’s unique atmosphere making the day all the more memorable for us.
Last, but not least, thank you to the many, many people who, over the course of the past few weeks, have so generously offered their congratulations upon our success in the competition. Without doubt there are many kind people within the Cat Fancy.
