The Bengal Cat Club
This is to advise all paid up Club Members that the AGM of The Bengal Cat Club will be held on Sunday, 13 February, 2005 at 1pm at St Mary’s Parish Hall, Green Street, Sunbury-on-Thames. As in previous years, Rosie and Barrie Alger-Street are happy to invite Members back to The Rosery for Beverages and Bengals, not forgetting the raffle for the welfare fund (donations very much appreciated).
Committee Members, Mrs R. L. Alger-Street, Dr G. L. Leedham and Mrs H. J. Marriott-Power are due to stand down and are willing to stand for re-election. In addition, nominations are invited for two vacancies on the Committee.

Somerset Cat Club
The AGM will be held on Sunday, 20 March at West Monkton Village Hall at 2pm.
There are six vacancies, three Committee Members are retiring on rotation, Carla Pilkington, Dorothy Stone and Sylvia Rose, all are willing to stand again. Any further nominations for the Committee and any AGM agenda items should be with the Honorary Secretary no later 1 February, 2005.
Nominations for Committee should be made in writing, proposed and seconded by fully paid-up Members of the Club and must include the signed agreement of the nominee. The post of Chairman will be decided by the Club Members at the AGM, as many Committee Members as possible will stand for election of Chairman.

The revised rules of the BAC now call for an electoral meeting before the end of March each year. Meetings of the BAC, previously held in June and November, will now be held in March and September.
The meetings for 2005 are currently planned for 6 March and 11 September. Somali BAC
The Somali BAC Seminar will be held on Sunday, 23 January 2005 with the theme “Judging Somalis and Writing Critiques”. It will start at 11am (vetting-in from 10.30am).
It is hoped to have at least 20 examples of the breed to give judges and stewards as much experience and guidance as possible. At the request of candidates, we will also be showing a selection of Somalis at the same time to give the opportunity to discuss priorities when placing the cats.
The Seminar is being held at the Wythall Village Hall. The venue is close to the M42. Leave the M42 at Junction 3, signposted A435. At the roundabout follow the sign A435 Birmingham. Follow the road for just over a mile and then take the third exit at the roundabout signposted Wythall and Hollywood.
The Village Hall is on the right about 50 yards along this road. Opposite the hall entrance is a bus stop.
The cost for the Seminar is £7.50, please make cheques payable to “Somali BAC”. Tickets will not be issued, and payment may be made at the Seminar, but it would be appreciated if I could know in advance of those planning to attend to help with the catering.
