Shropshire Cat Club
Would exhibitors please note that I have this week been informed by Stafford County Showground that for the period covering the show until the end of February 2005 there will be road works outside the gates to the showground with temporary traffic lights in operation that will, by their nature, cause delays.

Exhibitors are therefore advised to allow a little extra time for their journey.
The parking security people will be on hand to help and advise as far as possible and are looking into the possibility of a small diversion that may help to reduce your delays, especially at the end of the show when everyone is eager to get home, so please let them direct you. We will make every effort to minimise the disruption, but road works are out of our direct control, so we do hope that you will not hold this against us.

May we take this opportunity to say please do not be put off, and we hope you enjoy a happy and successful day with us. We look forward to welcoming you all on the day.

Janet Tonkinson, Show Manager

Would all exhibitors please note that, unfortunately, cups will not be available at this year’s show, but can be claimed at the AGM.

The Birman Cat Club
The AGM of the Birman Cat Club is to be held on 24 April 2005, venue to be arranged. It is therefore time, once again, to send in your points for the trophies to be presented at the AGM.

This year, of course, the closing date for accumulation of points was different as the opening and closing date has been changed to January to December. The closing date for sending points forms is therefore 31 January.

Trophies won at last year’s AGM are due back on or before the date of the AGM. We know the difficulties Members have in returning the trophies, so if we can arrange to collect them at a show, it helps both parties. Caroline and I will both be visiting the following shows, and will be happy to collect any trophy due for return. They can, of course, be returned at the AGM, if attending.

We shall visit the Chambridgeshire Show, the Essex Show and the Bedford Show.
We appreciate your co-operation during the last year, especially those few Members who religiously send us results of shows we have not attended. We thank you all.

We wish everyone and their cats, success in the Trophy Points Table. Any queries can be directed to either of us at the following telephone/e-mail.
Theresa Groves, 27 Laurel Close, Red Lodge, Suffolk IP28 8LN. Tel. 01638 552374.
Caroline Groves, e-mail caroline@spellsinger- birmans.co.uk

The North West Cat Club would like to apologise to Siamese exhibitors at our show on 25 September 2004 for an error which occurred during the Best in Show.

Unfortunately, the incorrect cat was placed in the Best in Show pen. The cat which was nominated was Cat No. 424, Ch Roysterers Clowningaround. We have put a system into place which would ensure this cannot happen again.
