JOHNSON’S Veterinary Products Ltd is hoping to follow a very successful 2004 with an even more successful 2005, thanks largely to their most ambitious marketing campaign in their 80 year history.

The whole campaign is designed to build business for the pet trade by attracting customers who may be new to the concept of pet shops offering modern, high quality pet health treatments.

The three-quarters of a million pounds campaign will feature as its highlight a specially commissioned 30 second advert for Johnson’s exclusive 4fleas tablet range.

The advert will show a typical family kitchen scene as the cat and dog are treated for fleas with a simple no mess, no fuss tablet, in contrast to the more involved topical flea treatments on offer. The advert will emphasise the ease with which fleas can be combated by the latest oral OTC treatments available from the pet trade.


“For too long the top brands have battled it out to get a larger slice of a decreasing market - our advert seeks to attract new customers to pet shops and highlight the effectiveness of modern oral OTC flea treatments and the savings that can be made by using the local pet shop” said Iain Sands, Sales Director of Johnson’s.

The trade seems very excited by the news of this ground breaking advert driving business specifically to the pet trade;
