Keen cat lovers join Cats Protection’s Board of Trustees

TWO cat lovers, Julie Toben and Nancy Holloway, have been selected to join Cats Protection’s Board of Trustees.

Along with five other Trustees, Julie and Nancy will be responsible for policy and the general management of the charity.

Julie, from Crowborough in Sussex, is a fundraising consultant and has been working in this capacity for 13 years. For the past five years she has run her own consultancy company, working with charities of all sizes. She is also a Trustee of BLISS, a national charity for the newborn and has considerable knowledge of membership organisations through the Round Table and Ladies Circle at local, regional and national levels.

Nancy, from Notting Hill in London, worked on the commercial side of the BBC for ten years and is now working as a Director of Operations for the postal regulator, Postcomm. She is passionate about cats and animal welfare and hopes to use her broad experience in business to benefit the voluntary sector.

Eleanor Walls, Chairman of the Trustees, is delighted with the wealth of experience Julie and Nancy will bring to the Board. “Being able to openly advertise the Trustee positions means we can choose the people who have the most relevant and useful skills to help us strategically develop and manage CP’s work. I am sure Julie and Nancy will be an asset to the charity”.

Julie has three cats called Monty, Maximus and Jasmine while Nancy has two black and white felines called Figaro and Alphonse.
