Help Felix help his friends at Cats Protection

A joint fundraising initiative between Cats Protection (CP) and Felix* cat food launches at the end of October and aims to raise over £100,000 to help the 60,000 cats and kittens that come into the charityís care every year.

A leaflet, appealing for donations, will appear in half a million of Felixís top selling multipacks, with Felix pledging to match every penny donated through the appeal, up to a maximum of £50,000. The campaignís target figure of over £100,000 will make a major contribution to the costs involved in feeding, providing veterinary care and ultimately rehoming abandoned or unwanted felines, throughout the UK.

According to Janet Wickens, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Cats Protection, the charity is extremely grateful for the companyís support.

‘CP and Felix share the same values and have a like-minded commitment to improving the lives of cats. This initiative is a part of an ongoing relationship with Felix that is aimed at both raising awareness of our work and raising crucial funds and we have high hopes that its customers will be able to support the campaign.’

Lindsay Cooper, Senior Brand Manager, Felix, says ‘Whatever the circumstances, every cat deserves a second chance at life. Through this latest initiative with Cats Protection, we hope to help feed and care for less fortunate cats until loving new homes can be found.’

Whilst the leaflet demonstrates how certain amounts of money can help, there is no minimum donation because every penny counts. Donations can be made by cheque, credit or debit card, or made online at www.catslikefelix.co.uk/donation.
