Many readers of OUR CATS will have seen the recent national television commercials for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. As a child growing up in London, I visited Battersea, and my family adopted an apricot ‘poodle x terrier’. We called her Penny. Since that time, I have eagerly followed the news about the famous home, which is now renamed, to include ‘& Cats Home’.

Many people do not realise that the home also caters for cats and has done so since the first cats arrived in 1883! Pictured below is one of those cats, Jasmine. OUR CATS is delighted to support Battersea, and we will feature their news (see below) on a regular basis. I think their website is excellent and is well worth a visit.
