108th NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CAT SHOW
Olympia, London: 4 December 2004
The national cat club was founded in 1887 and this year will host its 108th Championship Show. Held in the heart of London at the famous venue “The National Hall ,The Olympia”
The national has been referred to as the Cruffs of the Pedigree & non pedigree cat show world.
One fact the National can be proud of, there is no other show like it, and the history of the show has made the show what it is today, the largest Cat Club show in the Word!
The doors will open to the public at 10.30am and the show will close at 5.00pm
BEST IN SHOW
This year’s best in show pedigree will be judged by a judge who is a well-respected judge who has been judging Internationally for over 50 yrs. Mrs Christina Dugdale in the early years exhibited her pedigree long hairs at the National Cat Club show in early 1950’s. Mrs Dugdale is a true lady of Legend in the cat fancy and the challenge of choosing the over all best in show winner on centre stage. Best in show is judged at approximately 4.00pm.
GARFIELD
Garfield will also be featured at this year’s show promoting the latest DVD & Video launch of Garfield the Movie, a wonderful film by Fox films. Garfield will be at the show in per person and you will see him on the Garfield exhibition stand. So pop along and say hello. Children face painting will be, along with seeing Garfield will make the perfect way to spend your day
NATIONAL CAT OF THE YEAR
The Show is open to Pedigree Cats and Household Pets and is held under the Rules of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF). There are lots of varieties of both pedigree and non pedigree cats all in competition hoping for that special title of National Cat of the Year. Sounds like a beauty contest for felines, will it is, but there is a high standard to follow just like the Kennel Club has for all pedigree dogs. This year see the launch of 3 new breed of cats to GCCF showing are the Siberians, La Perm and Selkirk Rex.
Understanding these new wonderful breeds is to see them! So come along
WORLD OF CATS
World of cats is where specialist clubs participate in the World of Cats and this is a excellent source of information on finding, owning and caring for cats of every breed by experts who have bred, raised and lived with them. You will see and have hands on examples of many pedigree breeds. Learn about how to look after & keep a cat from grooming and preparation demonstrations and receive helpful advice on anything and everything concerning the beautiful felines. This is an excellent learning forum and allows visitors hands on experience of many different breeds.
SHOPPING
Along with seeing all the cats, Blue Peter, Garfield and watching the nail biting of exhibitors waiting for who will win the Best In Show title, there are lots of stalls, if you have never known what to buy your feline for Christmas the national can solve your feline shopping problems !
You will be amazed at every thing this session brings to entertain the home loving felines! Fashion in terms of what’s in and not this session you will find at this years show!
